The Review section reviews previously learned concepts. New Teaching is the hands-on part of the lesson as the parent introduces new concepts. Activity sheets are used to practice these concepts and students are also encouraged to orally express their understanding of the concepts.  Extended Practice are optional activities to develop math fluency. Darby’s Math Fun provides additional games and activities meant to be played multiple times to reinforce concepts and skills. The Appendices include extra resources that are helpful for you to get the most out of the lessons. Publisher's Description of All About Math Level 3 Teacher's Manual
The All About Math Teacher's Manual will feel familiar and like an old friend to those who are accustomed to All About Reading and All About Spelling. The layout is the same, with each lesson starting with a Before You Begin section to prepare you for what will be taught, then moving into Review of previous concepts before the New Teaching is presented. Lessons are open-and-go and fully scripted for busy parents, teachers, and tutors so that you will know exactly what to say and do to make the concepts understandable for your student.
Category Description for All About Math Level 3
Presenting a dolphin theme with mascot Darby, All About Math Level 3 is engaging with its multisensory lessons, thorough with its explicit and incremental teaching, and easy to teach with its open and go, scripted lessons! Levels in All About Math
do not necessarily correspond to grade levels – the goal is to master topics before moving to more advanced concepts. Some concepts taught in Level 3 include identifying fractions on a number line, identifying equivalent fractions, comparing fractions with the same numerator or denominator, learning three-dimensional shapes, solving one-step and two-step story problems involving measurement and money, identifying and explaining patterns in the multiplication table, understanding the relationship between multiplication and division, reading and writing numerals up to nine digits, multiplying a one-digit number by a two-digit number, and dividing within 100.

This program emphasizes strong conceptual understanding. Worksheets are not drill based but rather activity and game based. The Math Reflection questions at the end of each lesson help students verbalize their thought process and reinforce their understanding of the concepts. Both teacher and student materials are included in the Level 3 Materials set. The Teacher’s Manual has 41 scripted lessons that are designed to be spread out over a number of days. It is recommended to spend around 20 minutes a day on math unless your child is eager to continue. The Student Pack includes Flip Into Math Activity Book, Darby’s Math Tools (cardstock manipulatives including place value charts and disks, fraction shapes, number line, multiplication table, and more), and themed stickers. Games, real world application worksheets, and other activities help new concepts “stick” and kids to stay engaged in their learning. One manipulative kit used for all grade levels is available to purchase separately. Students also need a small dry erase board with markers. ~ Gina
