Exploring Creation with Mathematics Level 6 Skills Practice is an optional resource for students who need additional practice with the concepts taught in Exploring Creation with Mathematics Level 6. This consumable skills practice workbook is divided into 6 units, with 2-3 skills per unit. There is no skill construction, as all the concepts were taught in a previous level of the program or an earlier chapter. The activities are varied, with straightforward worksheets, games, puzzles, and more. Rather than completing all the activities, parents are encouraged to pick and choose what will work best for their child. The goal is 10 minutes or less to complete the activity, and if not complete, then set it aside until the next day. Answers are included. Some household items are required for games or activities. Description
Exploring Creation with Mathematics, Level 6 Skills Practice is an optional resource that contains extra practice problems for students working through the Exploring Creation with Mathematics, Level 6 course. Practice problems coincide with the concepts taught in Level 6, including fractions and ratios, rates and probability, negative numbers, and an introduction to algebra. Answers to the practice problems are found within the Skills Practice book.
Hands-on activities, manipulatives, and consistent math practice come together in Exploring Creation with Mathematics Level 6 to equip students to master math skills including multiples and factors, long division, prime numbers and prime factorization, decimals, fractions, percents, integers, and one-step equations. Along with mastery of these important skills, students also learn measurement, data, and probability, and are introduced to Algebra and Geometry. Each unit offers skills practice, a hands-on activity, and practice pages for a multisensory approach, which is unusual at the higher grade levels. Required math manipulatives include fraction tiles, 3D shapes, and a protractor. Household items are also necessary, and a four-operation calculator is suggested. An optional manipulative kit is available for your convenience. Also available, the Exploring Creation with Mathematics Level 6 Skills Practice Workbook provides students with supplemental practice of concepts. As an optional resource, the consumable workbook has perforated pages, and parents are encouraged to just use the pages needed and to limit the extra practice time to 10 minutes or less.
