The books in this language series have a unique premise—introduce a new language in very small bits through self-teaching. As the Russian alphabet looks different, you will begin with learning the letters and move gradually forward from there.
To guide you towards correct pronunciation, you can access free audio files at the publisher’s website. You will use the book and audio files simultaneously to optimize the short lessons. An answer key is in the back of the book.
Ideally, daily lessons will take 30 minutes or less. As with the other languages in this series (Spanish, French, Latin, Ancient Greek, & German), this course does not provide enough content for a full high school foreign language credit. It does make for a nice exploratory language option! 270pp. ~Sara
