The second half of the book is filled with colorful pictures and flashcards that you’ll use to teach the activities, and if you like you, can use them to decorate a Spanish bulletin board at school and at home!
Highlights from the August lesson include learning the nursery rhyme “Where Is Thumbkin?" To help them learn the rhyme in Spanish your students will draw and label the fingers on a hand then role-play and sing the rhyme in Spanish. The next August theme is swimming at the beach or swimming pool. You’ll play a variety of beach games in Spanish to learn key vocabulary such as “Limbo at the Beach,” “Beach Pictionary,” The Parachute,” and “Sand Darts.” You’ll then pretend to visit a farm where you’ll learn farm animals such as ‘cow’ ‘donkey’ ’sheep’ ‘pig’ and more. Teach & Learn Spanish is a dynamic, colorful, engaging
way to introduce students to Spanish. Monthly units come in a spiral-bound book
format with an attached CD. The program appeals to a variety of
learners using high quality, colorful visual aids, songs, chants, games, role
plays, and a variety of fun activities for children ages 3 to 8 years old.
With the audio CD and activities, lessons will take between
15 and 30 minutes. Once a week is sufficient, but the more repetition the
better for students’ retention (2-3 times per week is ideal). An easy-to-follow
lesson plan pulls it all together. Perfect for a group or co-op, enrichment
class, or even the classroom. Homeschooling parents will love the pre-planned
organization and ease of presentation as well.

Many of the basics will be repeated in every lesson, such as
greetings, counting, days, etc.
