Publisher's Description of COBI Focke-Wulf FW 190 F-8 - 170 pieces (World War II Historical Collection)

Build the Focke-Wulf Fw 190 F-8 kit – a German ground attack fighter from World War II in 1:48 scale!

With this kit, you have the opportunity to recreate one of the most versatile and dangerous combat aircraft used by the Luftwaffe – the legendary Focke-Wulf Fw 190 F-8 in 1:48 scale.

This lightweight but durable model is a compact but extremely effective version of the machine in 1:48 scale, which in the last years of the war spread terror on the Eastern and Western Fronts.

Luftwaffe pilots called it the "Shrike" (German Würger), a bird of prey, fast, unpredictable and deadly.

The aircraft gained a reputation for being reliable and easy to fly, making it one of the pillars of German aviation in the final stages of the war.

The model from COBI reflects all the characteristic features of the Fw 190 F-8 – from the shape of the fuselage and wings, to the details of the cabin and armament. Ideal for both collectors and younger history enthusiasts who want to combine their passion for building with their fascination with military aviation.

A model with history in the background!

The Fw 190 F-8 was a development version of the legendary Fw 190 A-8 – one of the most effective German fighters of World War II – with additional armor, powerful armament and the ability to carry bombs. Equipped with an improved fuel injection system on the compressor, it allowed for increased performance at lower altitudes, making it ideal for assault operations.

The plane was armed with two MG 151/20 20 mm cannons and two MG 131 13 mm machine guns. It could carry a bomb under the fuselage and additional bombs under the wings. Thanks to its exceptional durability and effectiveness, the Fw 190 F-8 gained recognition among pilots, and its operational versions achieved many successes on the Eastern and Western Fronts.

The most interesting elements of the Focke-Wulf Fw 190 F-8 set:

170 elements - The model consists of 170 precisely made blocks, which guarantee full satisfaction from building. Each element is carefully crafted, which ensures an impressive appearance after completion.

Scale 1:48 - A set of this scale is a perfect reproduction of the plane, which allows you to admire all the details, and at the same time is compact enough to be easily displayed at home. The collection of fighter planes in this scale is developing very intensively at COBI. The 1:48 scale models are easy to display on a shelf or desk and are a perfect match for our enormous bombers!

Rotating propeller - At the front of the model there is a classic three-blade propeller, which you can set in motion manually - it is a small but very atmospheric detail that brings the whole structure to life.

Movable wing ailerons - The ailerons on the wings can be moved, which allows for a dynamic presentation of the model in various configurations. This is a great way to show the maneuverability of this versatile machine.

Movable wheels with rubber tires - The landing gear is equipped with rubber tires and allows the plane to be set both in the take-off position and "in flight" - the wheels can be folded to a horizontal position, which makes it easier to display the model.

Bomb included in the set - A model of a 500-kilogram bomb is included under the aircraft's landing gear, which the Focke-Wulf Fw 190 F-8 was able to carry.

Detailed prints instead of stickers - All markings and paintings are applied in the form of durable, high-quality prints - there are no stickers here. Thanks to this, the model looks very realistic, and the details do not wear off over time.

Compact, yet full of content - Although the model consists of "only" 170 elements, each of them has been thought out to best reflect the proportions, shape and characteristic features of the Fw 190 F-8 aircraft. This is a great combination of simplicity and high level of reproduction.

Simple and pleasant construction - Clear, illustrated instructions, intuitive assembly and high-quality blocks make building the model a satisfying adventure - regardless of age.

Fun and decoration in one - After assembly, the model becomes not only a great toy, but also a unique element of decor. It will be perfect as a decoration for every fan of history and military.
