The F-16 Fighting Falcon is a versatile combat aircraft designed by the American company General Dynamics. Since its introduction into service in the late 1970s, the F-16 has become one of the most widely produced and used fighters in the world. By 2012, over 4,500 units had been produced, and since 1993 production has been continued by Lockheed Martin, one of the world's largest defense companies.
F-16D – Two-Seat Combat Trainer Version
The F-16D Fighting Falcon is a special, two-seat version of the multi-role aircraft, developed primarily for training purposes but fully adapted for combat operations.
Typically used for pilot training, the "D" version is capable of much more – it participates in ground attack missions, conducts precision air strikes, performs reconnaissance missions, and intercepts enemy aircraft – even at night and in challenging weather conditions.
