This partnership between DK and Merriam Webster has produced a beautiful, user, and child-friendly resource for anyone's library. With over 35,000 words included within its pages, young students are learning more about grammar, pronunciation, parts of speech, and the proper spelling for many of the most common words. The reference guides are chalked full of maps of the continents with cultural information, presidents/vice presidents (through the Trump/Pence administration), country and state flags, and a full book picture index. The beginning “How to Use" section gives you detailed information on the different in-text resources provided for each word. The text is colorfully alphabetized and provides letter information for each letter. I enjoyed the features throughout. Features are an expanded information section over certain words that provide illustrations and definitions within that word group. One particular feature is over the word cloud, where additional information is provided on how and why clouds form, the different groups of clouds, as well as a model illustration of these clouds.
