Visual-Spatial fun
We use Singapore Math and my son wrapped up Year 3 faster than I expected. Instead of moving on, I knew I wanted to try out Beast Academy as a supplement and summer program.

I casually gave him the 3A guide and he instantly loved it. He read through the entire guide in one sitting! As for the practice, it really helped solidify some concepts and also expanded on some ideas, like regular polygons.

Is it more challenging that SM? I honestly think some of the word problems in SM are harder when you look at the Challenging Word Problems workbook or some of the "Think Outside the Box" sections in Visible Thinking in Mathematics. I do think that Beast Academy gets kids to play with numbers more and has greater variety of some of the visual-spatial problems.

Beast Academy is missing charts and graphs and doesn't go quite as far with multiplication/division or addressing place value and 4-digit addition when compared to SM. But it does have interesting sections on Perfect Squares and the Distributive Property, which is extremely helpful for helping them understand multi-digit multiplication. They get a preview of variables too. While SM does not explicitly introduce variables, a lot of their word problems are complex enough that introducing variables can be very helpful for keeping track of the bar diagrams, etc.

I think the programs complement each other well and I plan to continue using both.

As a former HS geometry teacher, I wish some of my former students had used Beast Academy! ;-)

My son loved it.
My son was very good in math. I used different curriculum and he started hating math. Now I have got Beast Academy and he seems to love it.

Amazing program
My son (9) and daughter (7) beg me daily to read these books with them. They have fun doing the workbook and are using the skills learned and applying it thoughout the house. It's both approchable and challenging enough. I highly recommend Beast Academy

Fantastic curriculum
This program has been wonderful for giving my math loving son a challenge. He is learning so much more than just calculating. I can't wait to see the other levels as he continues to progress!

I chose this after doing extensive research on which math to use after Singapore. Since I've decided to go with Art of Problem Solving, I wanted the kids to get accustomed to this style of math instruction. Will use Beast Academy as a supplement through Singapore 5 and then go straight into AoPS.

We're trying this math program for a younger child that has not thrived with programs used by older siblings. We have great hopes for it!

This is the only elementary math books I have found with higher bars.
I haven't read the book yet, but I hope it is challenging.

I did a ton of research on math curriculums, and a friend told me about this. I found another friend closer who uses these and she showed me her books, and they look incredible. I cannot wait to use them with my daughters!
