Not geographically accurate
It was a fun game. My 13 yr old daughter and her younger friends all enjoyed playing the game and her friends have asked to play again. The youngest girl was nine and she did not have a problem understanding how to play the game after a few rounds. Although it might teach children the general area of where major cities are located, it is not geographically accurate.

A favorite at our house
This game is one of our favorites. It is long, but fast-paced, and not as long as something like Monopoly. It might be a bit complex for very young kids, but I'd say fine for six and up. It has made my seven-year old very quick at addition, and it also really helps build familiarity with the general relative location of U.S. cities. My kids have requested the other versions of the game.

I played this game a few months ago and surprisingly it was fun! I'm not a fan of Monopoly and thought it was going to be similar but no! It was easy to learn but because I was new to the game I forgot about the strategy oops! It was a relatively fast-paced game though it took 45-60 minutes Each player's turn went quickly and it wasn't too long before it was mine (we had 3 players total) I think this would be a great game for the whole family!

I heard this was a fun game. We are learning about the early railway expansion into the west and all about the United states so this game fit withour homeschool fun.
