Love this manipulative
We have used many manipulatives including household items but the ability to use these as something other than counting by "1's" is fantastic. Necessary for the Miquon series and have also found them useful for counting by 2's, 5's, even keeping score in games. Quality is nice and a fair quantity for the 2 children I have using them.

Very helpful!
We use the Cuisenaire rods and Miquon Math as a supplement to CLE math. My 6 yr DD loves it. It makes math time fun! It has been less than a month since we started using them and she is already showing improvements in her understanding of math concepts.

Because they're cuisenaire rods. They came to mind when my kindergarten protege and I got involved in a subtraction game at an event the library. I'd like to help her move beyond counting problems out one item at a time. I chose the larger set because I have more than one child to play with.

My son wanted a more hands on approach to math. I personally love the program we have, which is Singapore math. but I bought this because some of the concepts are not sticking and this approach is hands on and will allow him to think outside of the box for math. So far we have zipped through level 1 and 2 and are on our way to level 3. This is an extremely challenging math program.
