I ordered these for my 4.5 year old son to use with the Saxon Math curriculum and they are very difficult for him to snap together. I encourage him to try, then I help his fingers snap the pieces together. He continues to try, but it is frustrating for him. I'm hoping that with use they will become easier to work with. On a positive note, the price is competitive and it's neat how they snap on all sides, not just the top and bottom. This allows for more uses and creativity.

My sons are 3 and 5. They love these manipulatives. They not only sort them, count them and add them, they also create with them! They can literaly spend hours playing with these cubes. My older son is a visual and kinesthetic learner so I find these especially great for him to use during numbers/math time.

I ordered these cubes for my 6 year old daughter to use with Saxon Math and they are too difficult for her to use. They are too large and don't snap together easily. She can push a couple together by pushing them against the table, but after 2 or 3 of them the tower is too big and she cannot push anymore without it slipping. These need to be much smaller to work well with small hands.
