"Read more, read more" I often heard whenever this book came off the shelf. To supplement our study of Proverbs, I began reading a chapter each day that corresponded to the verses we were reading. (Each chapter has a Proverb(s) it focuses on) The true to life stories of the Miller family captured my children's attention and gave them something they could relate to as we discussed the proverb. Wholesome family life with Dad leading in family devotions solidified what we too were trying to accomplish in our own home. I was pleasantly surprised also how many of the lessons my children remembered even when I did not. It really helped for them to hear of other children who struggle with the same sin issues. And it helped me as a parent to see what a Biblical response looks like from Mom and Dad Miller. Based on our enjoyment of this book, we have bought a couple of the others too. :)

"Wisdom and the Millers" has been one of my daughters' favorite books this year; in fact, they ask me to read the stories again and again. The stories have helped my daughters understand and remember the Proverbs verses used in our 1st grade "My Father's World" curriculum. The book has been a very nice supplement to that curriculum.
"Wisdom and the Millers" is especially meaningful when my daughters identify with the Miller kids' mistakes and make changes in their own hearts as a result. Wow!
Two of my friends have ordered a copy of this as a result of seeing our book. This is a wonderful resource and quite a bargain at the Rainbow Resource price.

School Days with the Millers is an excellent book to use as a Bible study with kids. There are 24 different stories in the book; each highlighting a verse of the Bible. It is excellent for kids who learn best through practical, life application stories. The book has prompted many conversations between my children (ages 7 and 9) and me. The book uses the King James version of the Bible, so I find it helpful to have a Children's version of the Bible handy so that I can read the verse in another version before we begin the story.
I think that the Miller's books are a great value and a great teaching tool for any Christian family.

We first read Missionary Stories with the Millers, and my son enjoyed those so much that I purchased the other books in the set. I highly recommend all of them.
We used Prudence with the Millers as our devotional book this winter. I was pleasantly surprised at the focus on manners as well as health and safety. I appreciate the ties between everyday life and the Bible verses read in each story. I believe these have helped all of us, including me, apply God's word to various everyday situations. The stories appeal to all my children from 8 to 3. Even the 2 year old will sit and listen for a few minutes.
