Definitely a real-life skill here. Course includes basic concepts, vocabulary, and all the ins and outs of handling a checking account. The important part is a six-month simulation in which students write checks, fill out deposit slips, keep check registers, and balance checkbooks. Monthly budgeting is also included in the simulation. Teacher’s book gives suggestions for using the simulation, reproducible copies of forms, extension activities, pre-test, post-test, and answer key.
