This looked like a great supplement to introduce my 1st grader to calendars and weather together - a great science unit.

It was recommended on a thread when I googled how to teach my toddler the months and days of each year.

One of the loveliest books to begin our school day. My children always enjoy this time to sit and start the day.

What non temperature related data does this ask you to record for the months of January February March April and may? In what month?
User on Apr 20, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The book covers how many days each month contains, the sequence of months, and what season each month belongs in. In addition, weather-wise: each month has a different weather observation such as the high temperature of each day, type of precipitation, cloud types, wind direction, etc.
Does this book begin in January? Also, does it cover all 12 months of the year? Thanks!
A shopper on Dec 29, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It does begin in January and covers all 12 months. It also contains a section in the back of the book that give you the chance to chart the data you have recorded for the month (for example, one month you record the clouds each day, then at the end of the month you put that data into a pie chart or bar graph.) While the book begins in January, you can start it anytime. I have used this book three times, each time beginning in September when we begin school.
