Excellent!
This is my second year using History Odyssey with my (now) 8 year old son. We used Ancients last year and we're working our way through Middle Ages right now. This is an excellent history program. We completely skip the Story of the World book and just use picture books and short stories to round out the different topics. This series has really brought history alive for my son and he says that this is his favorite subject. We are not a religious family and I really appreciate the secular nature of the curriculum. However, if you are religious, there's nothing problematic about this program. I know may religious families that use this. I love how each lesson has so many options for what you can do. We pick and choose the things that my son enjoys and he's really learning a lot. We will be sticking with this line of curriculum for many years.

We used History Odyssey Ancient History last year and loved it. We can't wait for the Middle Ages! The literature based approach to history just works for us, even my four year old begs for history.
