I am teaching my second child using this series We find it to be easy to use and not too fast paced as many foreign language programs are It requires no teacher preparation as my children have been able to do it on their own They have both passed the tests with all A's The best part is that they will be able to start translating passages in Greek or Latin (we use the Latin program by them as well) It is not very expensive although we only buy the workbooks I have heard others complain that the later books are confusing The learning is laid out in a more non-traditional manner but we have not found it confusing if you follow it step-by-step I would not attempt to use this program with students under the age suggested I believe that some teachers may be trying to use this program with students younger than the suggested age and therefore it became too confusing when it got to the more advanced work I would not try to use Level 3 with a 2nd grader for example

I have used the first four years of the "Andrew" series with my daughter She is very bright and I took Koine Greek in seminary so this isn't totally new information for me That being said I have mixed feelings about this series The first two books are about the right speed We did book 1 in Kindergarten and book 2 in first grade But books three and four became increasingly laborious and confusing To be blunt I don't think I could have taught through them if I didn't already have some knowledge of Greek However now I'm at the point where I've stopped instruction completely This is a shame because my daughter genuinely enjoys learning Greek But the series has just become far too long and far too confusing in terms of how it's laid out I'm considering starting over with a different series so I can keep her enthusiasm going Just my opinion Others may love it

My husband and I have appreciated the gradual yet steady pace of these Greek lessons. By the time the kids work through all the levels they will have a strong base of Greek understanding (and 2 HS credits of language). Having studied Greek in seminary, this is a great way to learn the language (much nicer than cramming it into a year or two!).

My son completed the first two books, and seems to be learning Greek. We decided that since it is working, we would continue with the series.
