We will continue with other grades in this program
We love this spelling programs and will likely do these for other grades. They are not too long and my kids stay interested.

I love these books They incorporate phonics and require the children to look up the definitions to the words which makes sense Why spell a word if you don't know what it means? These books are two toned with daily activities leading up to a test on Day 5 My youngest son's only complaint was the lack of color and he would like to have a puzzle of some sort included with the daily activities

I LOVE this program!!! One of my favorite parts is how it incorporates definitions My son has learned lots from this and only complains about it on Day 2 - copying day!!! Besides that he has enjoyed it too We're planning on continuing this one!

I like the fact that this curriculum teaches spelling based on phonics rules. That is what we have been doing since the beginning with our children, and I think it helps things "stick" better.

I felt like book four was more than what my fourth grader needed at this time.

Looks like a great follow up to the program we had been using...hoping this will help improve their spelling.

This is the best spelling program that I have ever found. It helps with spelling, phonics, and vocabulary - all in one! There is even a little bit of writing practice at times, too! My children have thrived using this program, and are not overwhelmed by the amount of work. Their spelling has definitely improved.

This is a great spelling series.

After doing some research on spelling books, this one looks the best. I'm all about having just ONE book for a subject!

I have tried All About Spelling, Spelling Workout, Sequential Spelling, and SpellWell. I definitely like this the best! I don't like the cheap, pasty paper used in some programs. It makes writing a chore. Well laid out, organized, concise, and systematic with biblical content.

Our spelling curriculum is lacking so I thought we'd give this a try.

Are the teacher keys necessary?
A shopper on Apr 9, 2018
BEST ANSWER: My kids have used these books from level 3 through level 6, and I have not used the teacher editions or the answer keys for any of them. The tasks given for the student are not, in my view, difficult, and a parent-teacher probably already knows most (if not all) of the answers. Some effort may occasionally be required, but I view that as beneficial modeling for my kids if I have to look up an answer since that is what I expect of them. Hope this helps.
Is it Common Core Aligned?
A shopper on Jul 12, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It is not Common Core Aligned. I've used this at least 7 years and now my youngest is in the 4th grade now. I will not use any Common Core stuff either.
