Publisher's Description of Anne of Green Gables Trilogy DVD

DVD 1:

When Anne Shirley arrives at the Cuthbert's Farm on Prince Edward Island, she is a precocious, romantic child, desperate to be loved, and highly sensitive about her red hair and homely looks. In her own unique, headstrong manner, Anne manages to insult the town matriarch, Rachel Lynde, in a dispute over her looks, smashes her slate over Gilbert Blythe's head – when he calls her 'carrots' during her first day at school – and accidentally dyes her hair green in an effort to turn her red hair black and salvage her wounded pride.

DVD 2:

Megan Follows returns in her role of Anne in this critically acclaimed sequel to Anne of Green Gables. Now an independent woman with high hopes and dreams, Anne learns more about love, friendship, and the ways of the world. A film to tug at hearts, young and old.

DVD 3:

Gilbert is offered a staff position at a hospital in New York and persuades Anne to go with him as he has arranged a position for her at a publishing house. But when her manuscript is stolen and Gilbert is missing, the stage is set for the final installment in the story. Starring Megan Follows, Jonathan Crombie, and Cameron Daddo.

Category Description for Anne Of Green Gables Dvds

Anne Shirley is an outspoken, adventurous orphan with a temper as fiery as her red hair - which she loathes. When a misunderstanding lands Anne on the doorstep of Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert, she falls in love with them and their home at once. In Anne of Green Gables, Anne arrives at the Cuthberts, where she'll have to convince them to let her stay, despite the misadventures she constantly gets herself into. In the sequel, Anne has matured - although she is still quite outspoken and adventurous! - into a young woman. Anne has moved away from Green Gables and is teaching at a school for girls. In the Continuing Story, Anne moves to New York, where she meets city life head on. Her story also follows the war effort in Europe, and eventually Anne ends up once again on Prince Edward Island.
