Copper Lodge Library Kings of Rome
This abridged replication of a 1912 first edition (The Story of Rome, from the Earliest Times to the Death of Augustus, Told to Boys and Girls) is edited for current spellings/punctuation and includes some parenthetical explanations as well as many lovely, some full-color, illustrations. In addition to the penchant for long titles, the book includes the rich flavor of 100-year-old detail and fascinating stories. Part of the Copper Lodge Library and designed to accompany Classical Conversations™ Cycle 1 Scribblers, this read aloud book of history stories will be enjoyed by all ages. While some will be familiar with the twins, Remus and Romulus, most of the other stories of rulers, conquests, and intrigues will serve as an enjoyable introduction to Roman history for all ages. 170 pgs, pb.
Classical Conversations™ is an international organization with local communities and memberships, weaving a classical educational methodology with a Christian worldview. Their well-organized PK-12 scope and sequence is divided into three Cycles with three basic age/grade focus levels (Foundations, Essentials, and Challenge) each covering the same historical/geographical periods in any given year. While not their main instructional materials (Guides), we carry these reference, review, and reinforcement products that can be used by those in Classical Conversations™ as well as anyone who wants a useful tool in a particular subject.
