Who Is Jesus, Really??number three in the TrueU video series?is a ten-lesson DVD for teens and college students focusing on the evidence for Jesus himself. Hosted and taught by Del Tackett, from Focus on the Family's The Truth Project, this product can be used as a small group or individual study to give students the confidence to speak about their faith, and to defend the existence and identity of Christ. It features strong historical evidence by demonstrating the validity of the key figures involved in Jesus' trial and crucifixion, and a compelling argument for His divinity. The lessons delve into topics like Jesus birth, life, death, and resurrection; and questions like, Is Jesus the only way to God? This volume also features other key experts like Lee Strobel, Michael Farris, Gary Habermas, Louis Lapides, and Greg Koukl. It's sure to provide students with Biblical facts and evidence that corroborate Jesus' life and divinity, and equip them to stand strong in their faith when the tough questions come at them.
Preparing our kids for life and college is a major goal in homeschooling. This DVD series provides tools for understanding and confronting the philosophical challenges to worldview that adulthood brings. Each DVD provides 10 lectures (each about 30 minutes long) from Dr. Stephen Meyer (author, philosopher, and founder of the Center for Science and Culture in Seattle). Dr Meyer makes complicated topics understandable. Engaging with these lectures using the included discussion guides and quizzes, students will ponder on and dig into foundational faith-building concepts. As Dr. Meyer states, "the heart cannot exalt what the mind rejects." Students will learn to take notes, be introduced to apologetic techniques, and practice defending (and strengthening) their faith. Each set includes a Leader discussion booklet (approx. 103 pgs) that condenses key points and provides a quiz for each lesson (non-reproducible, uses NIV, ESV). Each DVD includes a bonus presentation (see individual descriptions for details). The three DVDs in this series are required components of the curriculum, Truth or Fallacy: Weighing Worldviews in Literature. ~ Ruth
