  • Category Description for Trueu Dvd Sets

Preparing our kids for life and college is a major goal in homeschooling. This DVD series provides tools for understanding and confronting the philosophical challenges to worldview that adulthood brings. Each DVD provides 10 lectures (each about 30 minutes long) from Dr. Stephen Meyer (author, philosopher, and founder of the Center for Science and Culture in Seattle). Dr Meyer makes complicated topics understandable. Engaging with these lectures using the included discussion guides and quizzes, students will ponder on and dig into foundational faith-building concepts. As Dr. Meyer states, "the heart cannot exalt what the mind rejects." Students will learn to take notes, be introduced to apologetic techniques, and practice defending (and strengthening) their faith. Each set includes a Leader discussion booklet (approx. 103 pgs) that condenses key points and provides a quiz for each lesson (non-reproducible, uses NIV, ESV). Each DVD includes a bonus presentation (see individual descriptions for details). The three DVDs in this series are required components of the curriculum, Truth or Fallacy: Weighing Worldviews in Literature. ~ Ruth
