Category Description for Lux Blox

How can a building toy with only two basic pieces be such a great combination of fun and function? Setting out to make a sturdy, appealing building set that demonstrates nature's mathematical and scientific principles, Lux Blox™ are the ideal STEM/STEAM product. The secret is found in the "minimum inventory/maximum diversity" principle which focuses on the design strategy of doing more with less. Utilizing two basic shapes, the square and trigon, along with a patented snapping hinge that curves and bends, the building possibilities are infinite! Lux Blox™ are also perfectly suited to demonstrate math principles from counting to geometry, algebra, functions, and statistics. None of this helps if your child won't play with them, but no problem here. The colorful pieces fit snugly together as a rigid triangle, flexible cube, or any number of other geometric shapes and have a natural range of movement up to 240 degrees. Unique gear/wheel, axle and rubber band pieces enable the construction of simple machines. Instructions with ideas are included, and free exploration is encouraged. In the unlikely event that your child runs out of ideas, he or she can visit luxblox.com for additional inspiration! Made in the USA.
