motivation to work through the Nature Anatomy book

I have been wanting to do a "nature sketching" time with the kids in our homeschool. We live in a wooded area with a lot of wildlife, trees, and a nearby pond. This looks like a nice way to appreciate nature and relax a little with our learning.

I bought this to go with one of the nature study Thinking Tree books. Other people have used it and had great things to say about it so I thought I'd try it.

This is a BEAUTIFUL book!
If you are into nature study or want to start nature study than I highly recommend this. It 's not necessarily a handbook like the Handbook of Nature Study by Anna Botsford Comstock. This is very inspirational but also very practical. I don't use it in a way to research what nature we have around us, but we use it to learn about nature.
