Product Description:
Attach this portable microscope to your phone or tablet and go explore tiny worlds. Great for introducing the miniscule, and viewers of all ages will appreciate the larger viewing space. We tried this on two different, slightly older model cell phones (with and without cases) with good success. Viewing seems best without a case (I recommend a case with wet slides). Magnification varies based on your rear-facing camera’s strength. The autofocus feature on the scope worked well on the prepared slides we tried, but don’t expect college-level study ability. We were impressed with the visuals; the included prepared slide (ours was a honeybee leg) showed lots of definition. Beware of possible scratching and lens debris. Comes with a button battery (replace with a small Phillips screwdriver, not included), prepared slide, and a 2-inch square of paper lens cloth. Includes directions, cleaning supplies, and recipes for saline solution and creating food color stains. You’ll need your own slides and cover slips for additional study. ~ Ruth
