Product Description:
The explorers from the Forbidden Island and Forbidden Desert are in for a truly electrifying experience! Played in the same style as the aforementioned games, Forbidden Sky takes players to a mysterious floating platform as an electrical storm rages around them. Each turn, players move and reveal a "platform tile" to an adjacent space. These tiles have a variety of symbols on them: circuits, capacitors, lightning rods. Additionally, gears, teleporters, wind shelters, and Faraday Cages provide other benefits to players located on that tile. After each player takes his or her turn, they reveal Storm Cards. These cards inflict a variety of dangerous effects on players, such as pushing them across the map (and damaging their rope in the process), causing lightning to strike (injuring players), changing wind direction, and intensifying the ever-deadly storm.
The goal is to find the Launch Pad and escape by connecting the Rocket to lightning rods and capacitors. Lightning rods and capacitors are built by connecting like-symbols on tiles; they can then be attached to the launch pad via "wires" forming a complete circuit from one half of the launch pad - through the lightning rods and capacitors - to the other half of the Launch Pad. When this circuit is complete, the Rocket lights up. But remember: all players must be on the launch pad when the Rocket lifts off, or at least one explorer will be eating lightning for breakfast! Additionally, if a player dies, breaks their rope, or the storm becomes too intense, all players lose. If you like the cooperative challenge of the other games in the Forbidden series, don't miss out on this exciting entry! For 2-5 players. ~ 60-minute playtime.

About the Game
The saga continues! What started off as a simple island adventure has evolved into an ever-developing storyline. From ocean, to desert, and now to the sky, this latest installment takes you to new heights with several novel challenges, including collectively planning a terrain using only limited information, and constructing a real electrical circuit. Forbidden Sky also breaks new ground for us as a publisher, as it's our first game to include an electronic component. Inventor Matt Leacock created such a compelling mechanism with building a circuit that we felt it warranted breaking our long-held rule of not publishing games with batteries. Hopefully, you'll agree that the payoff is electrifying!
