Product Description:

Sometimes children just need an extra fun activity to go along with their mundane phonics lesson. Covering letter patterns in a systematic approach including consonants, vowels, digraphs, and clusters, this game is a creative option to use with young children learning to read. Play begins with all letter tiles face down and each player choosing a gator. Players take turns turning over tiles. When they can make a word, they place the tiles in the correct order on the gator. They can stack the tiles to spell as many words as possible. Each tile is designed to fit into only the beginning, middle, or ending position to help children recognize certain sounds have a specific position. For example, you will never find an “ss” at the beginning of a word. Instructions include options for a beginner or expert level. Also included is a word list covering all the word patterns that can be made. The tiles and gators are made of durable plastic, and the game can be played with 2-4 players.

Publisher Description:

An exciting new word building game that teaches phonemic awareness, letter patterns and positioning. Covers letter sound patterns, consonants, vowels, digraphs, and blends. The player who makes the most word wins! Ages 5 - adults.
