Each phonemic awareness readers introduces 8 different letter sounds (phonemes).These readers have been designed for teaching phonemic awareness at the shared reading level. Letters presented in each text can be read by teachers using their phoneme sounds (i.e. ssss for letter S). Phonemic awareness is an understanding that words can be broken into small units of sounds. Set includes 12 fiction readers, each with colorful illustrations.
