Product Description:

Black cardboard squares (2.75" x 3.5") have rounded edges and textured ivory letters, one set of upper case and one set of lower case. The texture is like sandpaper, but seems a little better stuck to the cards. Children can trace the letters with a finger as they are learning to write them. Lay paper over the letter and make a rubbing. Match upper & lower case. Use these with vision impaired students. Some kids are more tactile than others and these are a good option for a child who needs a multi-sensory approach to learning phonics. 54 cards w/an idea guide ~ Sara

Publisher Description:

Perfect for students in preschool through first grade, the Tactile Letters Kit includes both sets of lowercase and uppercase sandpaper-textured letter cards, plus an activity guide. This set is ideal for teaching children letter recognition and basic phonics!

I wanted to make one of these types of sets myself, but honestly, I'd rather spend the money instead of the time to do it right now.

Are all of these letters in exactly the same font the same as Zaner-Bloser's font?
Thanks!
Monica on Jan 4, 2022
BEST ANSWER: These are a traditional font, and so is Zaner-Bloser, so they should match just fine.
Are these big enough to trace with both index and middle fingers together?
User on Aug 1, 2019
BEST ANSWER: No they are not big enough for both fingers. They are definitely on the small side. Might want to try Montessori sandpaper letters.

My students love these!
My students have really internalized the symbol to sound relationship using this great tool. They are great for sorting tall letters, curved letters, and to discuss the differences between simiilar looking letters, like b and d, m and n, and t and f! All of these little things matter, and this kit have helped my kiddos tremendously! :)
