The LIFEPAC General Science I Unit 9 Worktext, the ninth booklet in a series of ten, contains a variety of student-directed lessons. Your student can move at his own pace, mastering lessons, one section at a time. To solidify and reinforce student comprehension, this Alpha Omega curriculum also includes consistent reviews, self tests, and one removable teacher-administered unit test. Each of these features comes in a thin, consumable worktext that can be completed in three to four weeks.

LIFEPAC worktexts provide a complete, year-long science curriculum for each grade. From a Christian publisher, the approach is systematic mastery learning. It's very easy to teach from, with no need to write out lesson plans or prepare materials. You will have to gather equipment and materials for science experiments, however. Each grade contains 10 small worktexts which the students progress through at their own pace. Each unit studied includes vocabulary, text, and comprehension questions to assure students retain the material. The science series is more activity-oriented than AOP's other subject Lifepacs, with plenty of experiments to help illustrate science concepts. Grades 1-10 worktexts contain colorful illustrations; grades 11-12 are only available in black and white. The Complete boxed sets also include a Teacher's Guide with teaching tips and answer keys.
Alpha Omega is in the process of updating the covers on the LIFEPACs. It is only a cosmetic change; the LIFEPAC content has not been modified. While they are transitioning to the new covers, please be aware that you may receive a mix of LIFEPACS with old and new covers in a set.
