Easy to follow program with great foundational principles! Have already used it successfully with an 11th grader and picking it again for my next teenager. My son loved Mr. Ramsey's humorous delivery and is now saving diligently to open his first money market account at 18yrs old! Highly recommend this program. Lots of extra activities included as well in the student book. Student text will be a great resource for them in the future. Highly recommend.

We have gone through this course with our children once already and loved it! My husband and I have gone through the Dave Ramsey adult version and thought that this version was so much better. We want to go through this course again with our children just as a refresher course. Being that they have already written in their workbooks, we did not want to have to go through the hassle of erasing, so we bought the workbooks once again. <br />Good book for an economics credit.<br />Enjoy, <br />Homeschool parent

does this course count as a highschool consumer math credit?

BEST ANSWER: Although this course covers concepts that are math-related, it doesn't actually require much computation on the student's part. You could not count this as a math class by itself. I called it "Personal Finance" on my boys' transcripts; it was a half-credit elective.

Great curriculum! Not sure what the difference is in homeschool and high school versions. Home school version still assumes there are many children in the class. My youth group is enjoying the classes though.

Solid and Engaging
All our kiddos are required to take this class. We usually use it when our kids are in 11th or 12 grade. It's a change up from regular math and the kids really enjoy it because it's real life ideas that can be used everyday. It gives a lot of common sense advice on everyday finance that is so important. Some of the content is the presenters opinion, for instance, bargaining to get things as low cost as possible. We live in a small community so tend to pay the price quoted to us in order to bless the business owners in our town and hopefully keep them in business. However, with that said we realize most large towns and cities don't work this way and there is a significant mark up that is probably not needed. Overall this is a wonderful series and would be a benefit for anyone to study.

Great financial training for kids!
We loved this the first time, when our older kids took it. Even though the cover says high school, we've used it with middle school ages without problems. A great book.
