I've heard really good things about this book, plus it was listed as part of the Sonlight curriculum. I'm not using their curriculum for government this year, but still wanted to read through this book with my high schooler.

Is this book secular or Christian?
Cathy on Feb 1, 2020
BEST ANSWER: I believe the author is a Christian. I have only got through half the book so far (to the making of the constitution) but he does talk about how Christianity influenced the beginning of the government and he does quote them in their references to God. He does not get overly preachy on it either but brings up the facts about how the founders belief in God did have a role in the lives of the people forming the government.

Looks to be interesting
Okay, so I'm only 25 pages or so in, pre-reading this before using it next year for our homeschool government class. But it looks really interesting. I like that it doesn't seem to be written from the perspective that everything is fine and dandy and that the Constitution is doing its job. Also, the book is well written and not full of typos.
