Well, it;s the old-fashioned, exciting, *manual* way for kids to learn without being hooked into the electrical grid. There's far too much emf exposure as it is, and this is a welcome break for the wee ones. These classic toys are powered by muscle and imagination.

It is a bargain and the brand has been around a long time. I am age 79 and I bought one of these for my daughter when she was pre-school and she is now age 59. Also, no matter which ViewMaster model a child has, the view master reels are always compatible. I am purchasing these for my great grand children.
