Description

Learn about our solar system with this tri-fold magnetic identification book. All of the pieces that are included with this set are magnetic, and include planets, planet names, space objects, constellations, planet facts, and layers of the earth. One labelling activity features planet earth with all of its inner layers exposed and boxes with arrows pointing to each layer so that the user can match the layer with its name using the magnetic name tiles. Along with the earth layers, there are also picture demonstrations of each moon phase on the page. The other activity covers two pages, and includes a dotted circle route to represent the placement for each planet. In addition to planet placing, there are also magnetic name tiles to label each planet in its location, and pre-identified constellations that can be placed in their location with the planets. For added practice, there are 5 fun facts about the planets that can be matched and placed on the page with the planets. The middle cover of the book shows a demonstration of where each of the magnetic solar system pieces should be placed.

This activity book is a great tool for visual, multisensory, and kinesthetic learners who are trying to learn about basic solar system information—especially order and names of the planets. The magnetic nature of this activity book not only helps keep the pieces together at home and on-the-go, but it also allows the user to complete these activities again and again. ~ Brianna
