This course is designed to be a supplement to the LIFEPAC Language Arts Curriculum which introduces students to prominent American writers. In one semester, students will study Early American Literature, Growth of a Nation, American Renaissance, War and Reconciliation, Realism and Naturalism, the Modern Age, and Modern to Post-Modern. The Boxed Set includes five LIFEPACs and Teacher's Guide. A set of LIFEPACs only (no teacher's guide) is also available for additional students, and LIFEPACs and Teacher's Guide are available individually as well.
Choose from American or British literature in three different formats. American Literature introduces five periods, including Early, Romantic and Modern periods. Covers renowned fiction/poetry writers such as Longfellow, Whitman, Poe, Dickinson, Twain, Hemingway, Fitzgerald, Cummings, Frost, and Sandburg. British Literature courses cover five periods, including Middle Ages, Early Renaissance, and Romantic, with fiction and poetry from such authors as Chaucer, Tennyson, Browning, Keats, Shelley, and Lewis. LIFEPACs Boxed Set includes five student consumable LIFEPAC workbooks and a Teacher's Guide.
Switched-On Schoolhouse provides these courses in a thumb drive format, with interactive lessons, automatic grading and lesson planning. Switched on Schoolhouse has been discontinued and our stock is limited. The USB Flash drive will work on current Windows 10 Home or Pro versions (S mode not supported). AOP Technical support will be available until June 2022. According to Alpha Omega, the USB Drive should continue to work on Windows 10 beyond June 2022, but no tech support will be available. Microsoft Office and a printer are recommended. Please note that the software is NOT Mac-compatible and is no longer Windows XP or Windows 8 compatible. Windows 10 S Mode is not supported.
