Category Description for Ultimate Homeschool Planner:

Unbelievably, its all here! Correctly labeled a planning system, veteran homeschooler, Debra Bell, has given us the ultimate tool in preparing for and implementing a God-honoring, highly effective school year. In addition to the twelve monthly planners and the 48 weekly planners, there is a one-year planning grid, a student goal setter, pre-planning guides, record-keeping section, and year in review as well as a high school planning guide and example. You would expect all that, wouldnt you? But, theres more! The introductory Users Guide amounts to about three planning seminars wrapped up into one concise, how-to-do-it tutorial which includes sample pages, step-by-step plans, and a healthy dose of common sense homeschooling philosophy. And, just so you dont feel overwhelmed, theres an excellent Teaching Tips section in the back which includes information on learning styles and motivating the reluctant learner. Moms are encouraged to Count Your Blessings, Encourage Independence, and Record Your Progress and assured that Order brings peace. (St. Augustine). A common theme in Debra Bells writings and one that peeks out in many places in this planner is the need for raising our children to be independent learners.

Homeschool planner options used to be, well, utilitarian. Now, theyve burst into the realm of color and graphic design and I, for one, am applauding. But theres been no sacrifice of utilitarian aspects in this planner. Spiral-binding allows lay-flat usability. Plasticized card stock covers include inside storage pockets. Each planner section is color-coded (within the overall purple-gold-green theme). The one-year planning grid (on two facing pages) provides a small segment (1/4 by 1 1/8) for each day of each month (listed July through June). The weekly planner (each two facing pages) provides lined (1 by 1 7/8) spaces for six children and six subjects. One additional sidebar provides space for notes, supplies, and appointments. In addition to this weekly record-keeping space there are another two pages per week: one for recording the Bible Plan, the Battle Plan, specific Prayers, and noting Hospitality/Outreach and the other for recording the Weeks Memorable Moments and Evidences of Grace. I especially like the provision of this last weekly page because these types of notes buried within typical planner pages can be difficult to extract and sometimes going back to them are exactly the antidote needed for a homeschooling moms sagging spirit and resolve. The record-keeping section in the back includes places for grades, reading lists, and activities; each for six children. The planner concludes with a bibliography and a place for year-end review and notes. The planner is undated which means you will have maximum flexibility at the expense of having to write dates in.

Its obvious that this planner was designed from cover to cover by a homeschooling mom with years of experience, mountains of practical insight, and an eye for beauty. Enjoy! ~ Janice

This planner changed my life. She gives excellent advice on how to plan for the year and for life! I was never very good at planning and every year since i've used this planner, I've gotten better and better at organizing not just my homeschool schedule, but our yearly home calendar and making it a priority to schedule in the "important things".

I have used this planner for many years and love it. It is "my brain" that i carry wherever I go and use to manage all our family does. I love the colors and that it is undated. No school for a week? no blank pages! I write in the dates each week as I prepare for the week ahead. I also love the quotes.

Referred by a friend. Also, I like the Christian aspect and the space to reflect and include plans to work on challenges you are currently experiencing.

I've used Debra Bell's planner for several years and really like them! Every year I choose a different color design. :) There is room to write assignments for up to six students (although I use it for myself and my piano studio as well now that my high schoolers have their own!). Lots of great info, monthly and weekly planning, resources, inspirational quotes, room to write down goals and Bible verses, and more!

I chose this planner because I wanted a new homeschool planner, one that could keep track of all four of my kids' needs, that would help me organize how I want next year to go. It looks promising.

I have been using this planner for the past three years and find it indispensable. It allows you to plan everything and even make special notes. I love the encouraging words, also. If I didn't know that my fellow homeschool moms already have their own scheduling system, then I would gift each one of them a Debra Bell!

This is my second time use the Ultimate Homeschool Planner. I love the pages at the beginning that help get my perspective right before the year begins. Also, I like the goals for each child page and the space to write down small successes (can't remember Debra Bell's exact wording for this). My hope is that this will be a special gift to my future self.

This is such a beautiful planner! Not only does it have ample space for multiple children, but it also helps you to keep your heart and homeschool focused on the Lord. I like that it gives me areas to chart goals and prayer needs, and then follows up with areas to record memories and where you have seen God's grace. Sometimes mom just needs a place to put down all those thoughts and concerns that are flying around in her head, and this seems that a great tool for that!

I'm homeschooling 6 kids, and I have bought a copy of this planner for the last several school years. It is the only one I've found that is flexible enough to use with 6 students. I love the structured pages that still give me the complete freedom to fill it out the way that best fits our needs.

I had this planner one other year, and really loved it. Went with something cheaper for a few years and really missed all the extras this one has. Had pockets on both sides for important papers, pages to be dated and numbered as you like, weekly planning pages for getting things organized before start each week and lots more.

I have found the Ultimate Homeschool Planner to be the best planner for my family of 5 children. I am able to plan and organize lessons, appts., and daily activities all in one place with the added benefit of uplifting weekly devotionals to help keep me on track.

I always hated the idea of splurging on a planner, but with 3 kids, I was getting frustrated trying to make a cheaper one work. This planner has plenty of space to keep track of not only the kiddos, but yourself and also family events. I like the pages for goal planning, record keeping, and even a place to plan what your studying in the Word and praying about. Well worth the money!
