  • Category Description for Power Pen Learning Cards For Math

Plain flashcards can be effective, but not very fun or interactive. Make learning fun and get instant feedback (making this an independent activity) from the Power Pen! The "pen" (sold separately) looks a little like a flashlight. When your student places the tip of the pen on the correct answer on a Power Pen Learning Card, they hear a "Hooray!" or a "Yahoo!" If they are wrong, they are encouragingly redirected. Three volume levels on the pen include voice, sound and light effects. Requires 2 AAA batteries (not included).

Each card set includes 53 (5.5" x 3.5") double-sided practice cards, instructions and an answer key. Please note that the Power Pen is not included with the card sets; it is an individual purchase as you only need one or one per child.Cards have bold print and are black & white. If you have a student that is struggling with one concept, you can focus her practice by having her work on a set of cards. It is another way to practice besides a workbook, making this a good option for the audio learner as well as any hands-on kiddo. I think any student would appreciate a break from plain flashcards, and there are 106 problems in each boxed set! The boxes are nice too, with sturdy lids. ~ Sara
