I tutor in a community adult literacy program and use these maps with my students. I especially like that the back of the placemat has a blank map which can be used for learning the states/countries etc.

fun at the table
kids love looking at these while eating. and they spark lots of questions and conversation. probably plain placemats better for learning to eat mindfully and with focus, but I like them.

Great teaching tool!
I have seldom been so pleasantly surprised by anything I have ordered online. These placemat maps are superb!
Not only does this one show all of the countries of Central
America, but it also includes all of the states of Mexico, and their capitols. However, the best teaching feature lurks on the reverse side: all of the Mexican states and CA countries are shown in outline, but unlabeled. What a great way to allow students to test themselves. I would recommend these placemats to any parent for painless learning: your kids can absorb geography along with their cornflakes!
