Product Description:

We also offer a 55-minute Write Now instructional DVD. In the program, the author herself demonstrates the writing strokes directly in the workbook.Corresponding book and page references appear on screen so the student can follow along. The viewer sees close-ups of the instructor's hand asshe writes. She explains how she makes each stroke and provides tips on holding the writing instrument properly, maintaining a consistentslope, and so forth. The DVD is not necessary to complete the course; you can certainly work through the book without it. However, it's a great resource for those looking for audiovisual reinforcement of key italic handwriting concepts.

Is it best to have to book too?
A shopper on Jan 23, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes, it is. In fact, the DVD is designed as a supplement to the book and the student is expected to be completing workbook exercises along with the DVD instruction.
My 3rd grader is struggling in Book D. He started out with ball and stick but switched to GD in 2nd grade using Book C. He now abhors handwriting. Could the DVD provide clear instruction as well as make it more fun?
A shopper on Aug 3, 2016
BEST ANSWER: No, sorry. The DVD is lower "resolution", like how VHS tapes used to look. It does explain the specifics of each letter and stroke, but it is not very engaging. I would encourage you to keep with GD. Perhaps lower the quantity while keeping the quality expectations high.
