Product Description:

Publisher Description:

Unlike paper flip charts, VERSA-FLIPS™ are virtually indestructible, and the cards are interchangeable! The plastic letter cards never tear or bend, and dirt wipes right off. The special fasteners can be easily unlocked and reclosed, to add, remove, and switch cards.

Category Description for Phonics Student Versa-Flip Charts:

This versatile, sturdy flip chart stands "tent style" and allows you to introduce new sound combinations when your child is ready. The blue fasteners on the bright yellow tent can be unlocked, but that's not necessary since letter cards slide on and off at their slotted tops. The Beginning Phonics set contains 33 blue-printed consonant cards, including the pairs of ck, ll and ss; and 10 red-printed vowel cards also contain the vowel digraphs of ai, ee, ea, and oa. The Complete Phonicsset includes the two packs from the Beginning set, with four additional sets: 24 consonant blends, 4 consonant digraphs, 7 vowel pairs and 5 r-controlled vowels. Plastic letter cards are 2" x 3.25"; both cards and plastic tent can be cleaned with a damp cloth. ~Ruth

What is the best way to use the flip cards?
Ida on Aug 16, 2020
BEST ANSWER: You can use the cards is numerous, profitable ways. You can have your child build a word that you say based on sounding it out. You can set up a particular word family and then explore different beginning sounds to build new words (i.e. rhyming words). You could have them replicate words they have in a book they're reading or, conversely, show a word from a book and have them sound it out. Use your imagination!
