Product Description:

For the child that needs something a little more substantial to hold on to, we now offer a larger-sized pencil grip in the same comfortable, squishy rubber as the original. The same shape as the original, there is only one "right" way to hold it, and this trains children the proper way to hold a pencil. The center of the grip is quite flexible, designed to fit a wide variety of pen and pencil widths. Available in a variety of colors - if ordering more than one, we'll assort.

Publisher Description:

The JUMBO Grip helps improve comfort, control, and the quality of handwriting. It uses the proven design of The Pencil Grip and is 40% larger. The large size of the grip means it provides more support, up to the second knuckle. Unlike other large pencil grips, The JUMBO Grip feels natural because of its ergonomic design and soft, flexible, latex-free material. The unique shape gently encourages the fingers and hand to rest in the proper position for gripping – The Tripod Grip.

How to Use

Slide the wider end of the grip on first. Righties and Lefties simply place their thumb on the “R” or the “L” printed on the grip. Fingers will naturally fall into place with the middle finger on the underside of the grip.

Category Description for The Pencil Grip:

When you hear "pencil grip," you probably think of those hard plastic, prism-shaped gadgets. That's exactly what this is NOT. We've selected this particular grip because of its many beneficial features. First of all, it's flexible, allowing it to fit over any size pencil, pen or craft knife. It's soft and rubbery instead of unyielding plastic. Molded especially to fit fingers comfortably, there is only one correct way to hold it. Useable for either right- or left-handed kids, sides are marked with "R" and "L"to ensure kids hold it correctly. The super-comfortable grip is also recommended for those with arthritis. The Pencil Grip is available in two sizes - Standard and Jumbo - and a variety of types (bold colored, metallic, glitter and neon), all made of the same soft, squishy, rubbery plastic. Colors vary for each type; if you order mlore than one, we'll assort. ~Stephanie

How big is this grip?
Ruby S. on Apr 12, 2018
BEST ANSWER: From one end to another lengthwise, it is 1 7/8”. Maximum width is 1 1/8”. It fits comfortably for my average size six year old, and my above average size nine year old. The way the finger areas are molded, it seems like it would work well for range of hand sizes. With my next child, I will start with this product in preschool. Hope that helps!
