The durability, practicality, and inexpensiveness of inflatable globes makes them perfect for homeschoolers. These are some pretty high-quality inflatable globes that come in a variety of styles and each includes a simple plastic patch to repair the durable vinyl ball if that should become necessary. The political globe features a light blue ocean, with countries shown in multiple colors so it's easy to see where borders are. The topographical globe features a darker blue ocean and green land masses with shaded, contour-looking mountains, deserts, and forests. Cities, capitals, countries, and continents are all clearly marked on both globes. The globes also feature latitude and longitude lines, along with graphic representations of warm and cool ocean currents. Available in two different sizes - 12" or 16" diameter when inflated. ~ Rachel

love the size and that the product is raised for the land above the ocean

I think learning about the earth while easily being able to handle the inflatable globe will be fun! I chose the 16" over the 12" hoping it will be easy to read. I can put it away when we are not using it which means I don't have to make shelf space for it.

My 3.5 yo daughter is always asking where things are in the world. I wanted a tactile globe she can handle vs a map so she can get a sense of where countries are in relation to each other. I'm hoping the inflatable nature will be more forgiving and less easy to break than an expensive mounted globe.

It is inexpensive and I wanted a globe.

We use BFSU Vol. 1 for science, and the biomes lesson requires a topographic globe. As I do not foresee a lot of use for it, I was pleased to find something that is so economical.
