This geoboard features a 7 x 7 pin array on one side and a circular design on the other. The nearly 8" square geoboard also has a bigger "lip", or outer edge making it nearly twice as thick as our 5 x 5 pin geoboards. Even though most geoboard activity books use 5 x 5 pin arrays, we have added this one as a convenience for users of the RightStart Math program. ~ Anh

These double-sided 8" geoboards feature a 7 x 7 pin grid array on one side and a 29-pin circular arrangement on the other side. Pins are spaced to allow for radii and angles increments of 15° to be formed. Set includes six geoboards in different colors, each with their own bag of multi-size rubber bands. Colors may vary.

These plastic geoboards are brightly colored and sturdy. The 9" square board features 121 pins, arranged in an 11 x 11 pin grid (numbered 0-10.) The reverse side features 137 pins arranged in alternating rows of 10 and 11. This arrangement allows for the easy formation of triangles, hexagons, etc. The 6" square board has a 25-pin (5 x 5) grid on one side, and a circle on the opposite side with one pin in each corner of the board (outside the circle) and one pin in the center of the circle. The geoboards come in a variety of colors; if you order more than one, we will assort. Includes rubber bands. ~ Rachel P.

Created by an Egyptian mathematician, Geoboards are a fantastic tactile tool for learning early geometry/shapes, measurement, and numeracy concepts. The 9" board features 121 pins, arranged in an 11 x 11 pin grid. The 8” board contains 49 pins in a 7 x 7 grid, while the 6” and 7” boards have 25-pin grids. Flip over the geoboards, to see the pins configured as a circle. Depending on the board, these have different features. Rubber bands included or assorted rubber bands available separately. Optional activity cards for teaching inspiration.

I bought a wooden geoboard on Amazon and it didn't have the right pegs for a lot of the geometry in Level E of Right Start Math. I have two more kids so I wanted to have the right tools. :)

What's the spacing between the pegs? Are they 1 inch?

BEST ANSWER: Measuring the actual amount of space between the pegs, it is 3/4 inch on the circle side and 1 inch on the grid side.
I would like to buy this to use with RightStart Math Level A. I see that the full kit includes two geo boards. Are two geoboards necessary, or can I buy just one to use with RS Level A?

improved design
I ordered another geoboard because our older ones had several pegs broken off. This one has a lip around both sides so the pegs are not sticking out. The pegs look sturdier too so it looks like this will be much more durable. This is the size RightStart math uses.

Great boards!
My kids love these! The boards are great but some of the elastics were old and not stretchy. Overall, great purchase!
