Is this the original 1961 text recommended by Spell to Write and Read (rather than the reprint)?

BEST ANSWER: Yes! And they are much more difficult readings than the recent ones so the grade level indicators at the bottom make a whole lot more sense. My son tests out as a 5-6th level reader in this series and a 10-11th reader in the most recent ones. He is in 4th grade.
