Category Description for GeoPuzzles:

These puzzles offer students a fun way to learn geography. Each includes pieces that attach to form a map of a specific continent. The great thing is that most of the pieces are shaped like the individual countries/states within that continent, so students will really get a feel for where the countries are and what they look like. Some of the larger countries take up more than one puzzle piece, and some of the smaller countries include the ocean they border, but generally the borders of the pieces are the same shape as the actual countries. Countries, capital cities, and large bodies of water are labeled on each puzzle. Each country is also a different color, so the puzzle ends up being a visually appealing map with countries that are easy to spot. Because of the differences in the continents, the puzzles come in different sizes with different amounts of puzzle pieces, which are listed below. My son has been watching youtube videos for kids about geography and really enjoys the wooden puzzle with States I got from this website where pieces are shaped as states, and when you lift up a piece it shows capital of the state. It's time to learn the rest of the world, lol.

What is the size of each puzzle? How many pieces in each puzzle?

BEST ANSWER: Puzzle sizes vary; for example some are 17 in x 17in, others are 19 in x 16 in, and the World puzzle is 26 in x 12.5 in. Each puzzle contains 50-70 pieces. The sizes of pieces vary depending upon the countries. I would highly recommend this item; it was one of the most loved toys in my house. My boys developed a genuine interest in geography. They also quickly recognize every country by its shape and know all its neighbors.

Well loved!
I got this because my sun was very much into his wooden puzzle of the US which was also shaped by states. He has put each of these puzzles together and by himself numerous times and has learned much about the world. Seeing the countries he also likes to ask questions relating to them. The couple negative comments on other reviews have been address - the pieces are thick enough to not get damaged and the box comes with 6 plastic bags.

Love these puzzles!
My 2yo loves these puzzles!! My only comment would be that even though the pieces are now thicker, a few pieces are still too weirdly shaped and bend in half easily. But overall the quality is great! An ideal way to learn geography while having fun.
