Product Description:

Sequel to The Fallacy Detective, this is by the same authors. While the first book focuses on recognizing bad reasoning, this book offers thirty-five lessons for strengthening your reasoning skills. The chapters provide you with tools for thinking, tools for opposing viewpoints, and tools for science. Within these chapters, you'll find lessons on when not to argue, finding the premises and conclusion, determining primary or secondary sources, circumstantial evidence, keen observation, brainstorming, analyzing data, and much more. This book is formatted much like The Fallacy Detective, with plenty of clear examples throughout the lessons and lengthy exercises following each lesson. Answers included, 234 pgs. - Melissa

BEST ANSWER: This book is divided into chapters you read but has questions at the end of each chapter. Some questions are fill in the blank and some are simply multiple choice.

Not what I had hoped
I had read other reviews of this book from other sources. Many people seemed to have a high opinion of it so we decided to try it. We only made it through a couple of lessons before we decided it was a waste of time. The examples given are a stretch and the answers in the back are not straight forward. They give multiple options for answers based on different variables, which doesn't teach any concrete principles. I would not recommend this book. I only gave it one star because it wouldn't let me submit the review without giving it at least one. If given the option, I would have scored no stars.
