Expand your train line all the way from Denmark to the northern frontier of Europe, building throughout Norway, Sweden, Finland, and a small portion of Russia and Estonia. The cold isn't the only danger in Scandinavia, thoughnarrow, remote routes occupy much of Western Norway and Northern Finland, with few connections directly across the map. Imitating the rough, mountainous geography are numerous tunnel and ferry routes stretching across much of the map. Perhaps some of those high-value tickets stretching across the mainland can help Sweden the deal 2-3 players.

Ticket to Ride Nordic Countries takes you on a Nordic adventure through Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden as you travel to the great northern cities of Copenhagen, Oslo, Helsinki and Stockholm. Visit Norway's beautiful fjords and the magnificent mountain scenery on the Rauma Railway. Breathe in the salt air of the busy Swedish ports on the Baltic Sea. Ride through the Danish countryside where Vikings once walked. Hop-on the Finnish railway and travel across the Arctic Circle to the land of the Midnight Sun.

Players collect cards of various types of train cars that enable them to claim railway routes and pass through tunnels and onto ferries, as they connect cities throughout the Nordic Countries.

As with previous versions, the game remains elegant, can be learned in 5 minutes and provides hours of fun for families and experienced gamers alike.

Ticket to Ride Nordic Countries is a complete board game designed specifically for 2 or 3 players.

Category Description for Ticket to Ride:

This game has become one of our family favorites. 2 to 5 players draw tickets to connect rail routes between major cities and attempt to complete them in the most direct route possible. Routes are built in sections of 1 to 6 railcars based on playing cards of the designated color for the section. Longer routes and longer sections score more points than shorter ones. Since routes can have sections that overlap, competition for certain segments adds to the excitement. Strategy is not too complicated, so that younger players are not at a disadvantage. Games take from 45 to 75 minutes, depending on the number of players. The basic game is based on North American geography, while TTR Europe has slightly different rules and covers Europe and eastern Asia. TTR USA 1910 is an expansion that allows 3 more variations of the basic TTR game. Ticket to Ride Expansions (3-AD) (ages 8+) Across the exotic lands of Asia, from Africa, to Germany, and all the way to the Northern face of Europe, the rumble of locomotives can be heard around the world. Explore wildly different locations and circumstances around the globe as you expand your train lines in these new Ticket to Ride editions. The gameplay is similar to the original Ticket to Ride, but each map has its own challenges to overcome, including mountains, valleys, ferries, rough terrain, tolls, and other unique regional challenges. Despite the varying climates, treacherous landscapes, and locational nuances, your goal is the same. Create the best route, collect the most valuable tickets, and connect cities to beat your competition! Games listed as Expansions require Ticket to Ride or Ticket to Ride Europe to play. Other editions are stand-alone and require no other Ticket to Ride games to play. Games last roughly 30-60 minutes.Happy travels!

I play this game with my grandchildren. It's great fun and a good learning experience. They learn geography, problem solving, finding the best route. It gives an opportunity for discussion of history.

Great 2 person game!
It's a nice 2-3 player complete T2R board game that is still challenging. Tunnels are introduced and the wild card locomotives are used a bit differently. It's a fairly short game so one can get in a couple of games in an hour or so.
