Product Description:

A dazzling version of our solar system in puzzle form. All nine planets, the sun and the moon are depicted, in bright, bold colors against a space background bursting with glowing galaxies, comets, and nebulae. The puzzle measures 24"x 36", and consists of 48 pieces, made up of heavy-duty cardboard built to withstand what pressures a floor puzzle might encounter in a high-traffic house. Fortunately, it also has an easy-to-clean surface to clean up the marks of excited little "planet-hoppers."

Publisher Description:

You'll need lots of "space" to assemble this beautifully illustrated 48-piece puzzle of our solar system. Extra-thick pieces are built to last, and their "Easy-Clean" surface will keep your puzzle looking new.

My son (3 years old) absolutely loves this puzzle He pulls it out and asks us to do it with him almost everyday He's a very active and rough little boy and this puzzle has stood up wonderfully There are no bent broken or torn pieces even though it's been put together at least once a day (sometimes more) every day for the last 6 months (something I can't say for all puzzles we've had) Not only is this puzzle fun but it's also a great educational tool My son knows the names & locations of all the planets the moon and the sun We put it together & then I'll ask where a planet (or the moon or sun) is & he'll stand on it Sometimes I'll point to a planet & ask him what it is and he'll tell me the name Then I ask where we live & he jumps on Earth & yells "Earth!" very loudly It's so fun to watch He has a very short attention span & rarely spends more than a few minutes on anything However he'll happily spend 20-30 minutes (or more) playing with this puzzle This is the best way I can think of to teach a young child something like the planets They get to be active involved and it's FUN! Even my 9 year old daughter enjoys doing this puzzle It's one of the few things the two of them can do together quietlyThis is a great product & more than worth the price especially if you have more than one child We've enjoyed this so much that some of my nieces & nephews may be receiving one for Christmas this year!
