Left-handed people may have a harder time completing some tasks than others, but with these handy notebooks, writing or keeping notes won't be one of them. All of these notebooks are bound on the right instead of the left, so they flip open to the right and the wire binding won't interfere with writing. Pages are three-hole punched and perforated so they can easily be torn out. Paper is college ruled and measures 11" x 8.5" up to the perforation (except where noted). A smaller 8" x 5" notebook without perforated paper is also available. The wide-ruled notebook has paper measuring 10.5" x 8". As noted below, some notebooks include double-side pockets. Covers come in assorted colors with the word "Lefty" on the bottom left corner.

Are these wide ruled? The description shows college ruled but it says Wide on the cover of the book in the picture.

BEST ANSWER: We received wide ruled. I wanted college ruled. I was going to return but my son who is in high school didn’t care.
I have to buy a blue and a red is it possible to get those colors? It is manditory for school. I wish it didn't matter.

Is purple the only color this notebook comes in? And are they able to be put into a 3 inch binder for my middle schooler?

BEST ANSWER: Purple is not the only color. In fact, i ordered 3 of them and received all boys colors (blue, black, orange). The only way to put it in a 3-ring binder would be to pull all the pages out. You would be better buying looseleaf paper for that. I LOVE these notebooks though. I tell everyone about them that's left handed. I've got to order some more soon.

I bought several lefty handed notebooks after seeing my 5 year old grandson struggling to write in his journal in his pre-k class. As the mom of a left handed child I recognized immediately what the problem was. Try writing with your forearm resting on metal spiral binding and you will understand. Journaling was the one thing at school he didn't like. But when the shipment of lefty notebooks came in, he was very excited and wanted to practice writing immediately. Thanks!!!!

For my best girl!!
Bought these as a gift for my 'little sister' (best friends daughter) and she LOVES them! Says they are so nice to use in school and really make writing more fun with out the wire spiral being in her way- second batch of 5 I've gotten her - been using them for a couple of years now.
