Insect Lore partners with the World of Eric Carle to bring the classic story to life in a way that gets kids excited about science. Each kit includes a pop-up butterfly habitat measuring 11.5 inches tall, a voucher for 5 baby Painted Lady caterpillars, a feeding dropper, instruction booklet, and surprise butterfly feeder that looks like fruit or a snack from the Very Hungry Caterpillar book. The butterfly habitat is made of fabric mesh with a clear plastic top with a zipper so you can easily watch your caterpillars transform into butterflies. A Velcro-connected strap is attached to the top of the habitat so it can be easily hung for display, and it can also keep the habitat collapsed for convenient storage.
