Does the lifepac include a teacher's book?
A shopper on Aug 9, 2019
BEST ANSWER: No, this item is the Lifepacs only. It does not include the Teacher/Answer Key. The Teacher/Answer Key is only available in the Complete Boxed Set:
Is this directed at girls in a way that it would not be very fitting for a boy to use also?

Family and Consumer Science Boxed Set
BEST ANSWER: Per the publisher: The Family Consumer Science is not written specifically for girls or geared only towards them.
In fact, in their product description they specifically reference male students: Does your child know how to cook a meal, sew his clothes, decorate a room, or care for a baby? With LIFEPAC Family & Consumer Science for grades 7-12, he will!

Mostly food, sewing, and manners
This is a nice home ec kind of series as far as the food and sewing goes. It makes a brief stab at budgeting also. I think it could use an update to include more current information on consumer issues and less on sewing, etc. as sewing is not even very economical anymore (although mending definitely is!) to really earn the title consumer science. Some information on coupons, credit and loans, bill paying including online, the dangers of the monthly payment plan, etc. would strengthen this program.
